BMW driver wins neck injury claim

A woman who suffered a whiplash style injury on her way to an equestrian event in Oxfordshire has received a four-figure sum of car crash compensation.

The 46-year-old designer had been stationary in her BMW when she was hit from behind by a campervan being driven by an elderly holidaymaker. Neither the driver of the campervan nor his wife suffered injury, but both were said to be "shocked" by the incident.

Although the successful claimant's whiplash symptoms did not become apparent until the day following the accident, once they did, she decided to contact a no win, no fee firm.

"I was in a lot of discomfort", she said.

As the Londoner's injury forced her to take some time off work, her whiplash settlement includes a component for loss of earnings.
