Whiplash injury news 25/03/2010
Swansea man wins neck injury claimA grandfather from Swansea who sustained a whiplash injury in a 2009 collision with a courier van has secured the compensation he has been fighting for ever since the road accident. The courier company's insurance company finally admitted liability after initially denying liability for the incident. Only three months ago, the 71-year-old man had said that he was ready to fight "tooth and nail" to secure a whiplash injury payout after being informed of the insurance company's denial. However, the efforts of his specialist car crash solicitor paid off, despite the claimant's initial reluctance to even employ a solicitor. Describing his decision to instruct a solicitor as a "bit of a U-turn", the grandfather thanked him for securing a four-figure sum that will allow him the best possible rehabilitation from a whiplash injury that doctors have described as chronic. The best bit, said the claimant, is that he might be able to carry his 3-year-old granddaughter again.
