Driving instructor makes work injury claimA driving instructor from Portsmouth is making a work injury claim for whiplash compensation after being involved in an accident while helping a woman take her driving test. The work injury claim will seek to cover lost earnings and medical expenses incurred as a result of the whiplash she sustained in the incident, in which the examinee reversed into a parked car. The case is believed to be one of 70 such work injury claims made by driving instructors since January 2007, although it is not known how many have been made for whiplash. It is understood that the woman who caused the car accident did not qualify for her licence, and still takes the bus to work.
