Hollywood actress seeking $24,000 in car crash compensation

The Hollywood star, Sophie Monk, has reportedly launched a claim for car accident compensation after suffering personal injuries in a car crash.

The collision took place in 2010 when a Ford Explorer drove into the star's Toyota Prius near her home in Los Angeles.

As a result of the accident she suffered personal injuries to her leg. She required a foot brace and was temporarily dependent on a wheelchair for several weeks while she recovered.

The Australian actress has since filed papers with the Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming she was left with severe injuries due to the collision.

The 32-year-old is also expected to claim that she was unable to return to work after the crash and had to pay out for expensive medical bills.

It has not yet been revealed how much car accident compensation the actress is seeking, however it is thought to be in the region of $24,000 (£15,000).
