Pope breaks wrist in bath fall
Pope Benedict has suffered a holiday injury while staying at a villa in the Italian Alps. It is understood he was in the bath when he fell and broke his wrist. The 82-year-old needed surgery to insert a pin into the site of the holiday injury. Doctors who treated the pontiff described the operation as "uncomplicated" and said he will have to wear a cast for about a month until the break heals. A Vatican spokesperson said that the accident was "nothing serious". It is not known whether the Pope intends to make a no win, no fee compensation claim against the owners of the villa.
