We don't know whether it's bravery of foolhardiness, but one thing it certainly is, is honourable - a personal injury solicitor from a firm in West Berkshire is to jockey a horse for a charity race at Newbury Racecourse on Thursday.

The personal injury solicitor freely admits that he has little experience of such high pressure riding, saying, "My riding experience extends to riding some carefully selected horses tucked cosily in the middle of the string going up the gallops."

Two charities will benefit from the personal injury solicitor's valiant ride: the Spinal Injuries Association and the Ella Louisa Angel Appeal.
