Accident claim could have been made for hospital fight

A patient could have been in a position to make an accident claim for medical negligence after two surgeons began fighting in an operating theatre.

The scrap reportedly broke out in a Belgrade hospital in Serbia when two surgeons began fighting and stormed out of the theatre where they proceeded to hit each other outside.

An anaesthesiologist who witnessed the brawl said, "At one moment [the surgeon] pulled the ear of the operating doctor, slapped him in the face and walked out."

The fight resulted in numerous personal injuries to both surgeons including bruises, a split lip, loose teeth and fractured fingers.

Fortunately, the patient did not require a personal injury solicitor to make an accident claim for clinical negligence as surgery was carried out by an assistant doctor.
