Fungicide maker to pay out

One of the USA's leading no win, no fee solicitors is believed to have helped secure a multi-million pound compensation claim payout for 32 UK and New Zealand families whose children developed eye defects after exposure to a dangerous fungicide.

The no win, no fee solicitor has managed to secure an out-of-court settlement from the manufacturing giant of the fungicide, meaning the families will avoid litigation, which, potentially, might have taken several years.

Up until 1998 the fungicide was commonly use to protect crops. The manufacturer claims that the decision to withdraw it from sale was purely because of its decreasing effectiveness.

Ten families in Scotland, including one from Fife and one from Livingston, will benefit from the hard work of the no win, no fee solicitor, who is already famous for securing a £3.9 million payout in the Castillo case.
