Compensation will provide for dental work
A worker from a factory in Lancashire has won her no win, no fee claim for facial and dental injuries she sustained in a slip and trip accident. The 43-year-old Manchester native had been carrying a tea tray across the factory floor when she slipped on fluid spilt from a leaking piece of machinery. The work injury solicitor who represented the woman's no win, no fee claim provided evidence that the leaking machine had been identified as a health and safety hazard at least two months before the accident, yet nothing had been done to address it. He said that the "case highlights the dangers of employers… neglecting basic safety practices." "[The claimant] has incurred considerable loss… both in terms of pain and suffering and in terms of medical expenses and loss of earnings," he added. The no win, no fee claim was settled out of court and will allow the 43-year-old to receive the dental work she now needs. "I haven't got my smile back yet, but hopefully I will soon," said the claimant.
