Motorbike crash claim news 18/08/2010
Woman injured in crash seeks damagesA woman injured in a motorbike crash is pursuing an accident compensation claim for £300,000 after suffering serious injuries in the collision. The motorbike accident occurred in November 2007 when the woman was attempting to overtake a Suzuki Vitari 4x4 whilst on her Honda CBR 600. The motor biker alleges that the Vitari driver turned right without warning while she was overtaking, and went straight into her path, causing a serious accident. The woman suffered compound fractures to her right arm and leg as well as a shattered pelvis. She has been unable to work following the collision and is still receiving medical treatment for her injuries. The accident compensation claim is being made against the Vitari driver for failing to check if it was safe to turn right and driving into the path of a fellow road user making a legal overtaking manoeuvre. The court's decision will be announced at a later date.
