Gazza seriously injured in car crashPaul Gascoigne could make a car accident claim after he was involved in a car crash which left him seriously ill. The former England footballer was one of three people injured when the car they were travelling in crashed into a building at Sandhill on Newcastle's Quayside. Witnesses to the scene described seeing the blue Vauxhall Astra Gascoigne was travelling in swerve at high speed around a corner before veering out of control. The 36-year-old woman driver was questioned on suspicion of drink-driving and was bailed pending further police investigation. An onlooker said, "There was a massive crash. The car was smoking. Gazza looked really bad – there was blood everywhere." The ex-Tottenham and Newcastle player was said to be in a "comfortable condition" and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Depending on the severity of his injuries, the former football star may decide to make a car accident claim for the injuries he suffered.
