Car wash car crash fractures worker's pelvisA Southend man has suffered personal injury in a car wash work accident last week. The man, in his late 30s, was sitting on a wall at the car wash he worked in when a colleague moved a car that was being washed so that it struck him, fracturing his pelvis. He also complained of abdominal pains. The owner confirmed that there had been an accident resulting in a work injury, and that the man was getting better. Police attended the scene, but will not be investigating the car crash. They have passed the details to the Health and Safety Executive and Southend Council, who are working together in an ongoing investigation. No comment has been made regarding the man's intentions to launch a personal injury compensation claim as a result of this work accident.
