Car accident compensation news 19/08/2010
Salisbury woman makes £500k claimA woman from Salisbury is making a car accident compensation claim for more than £500,000 after suffering severe brain trauma in a car crash in 2008. The accident happened in Winchester Street, Salisbury, when she was struck by a Vauxhall Omega after getting out of her broken-down Mazda 6. The car crash victim is no longer able to carry out day-to-day tasks since the accident and still suffers from weakness on one side, double vision, and cognitive difficulties. Her personal injury lawyer is holding the Vauxhall driver negligent, arguing that the female driver failed to respond to brake lights ahead, failed to surmise that the car ahead could be making an emergency stop and failed to move into the offside lane. The car accident compensation amount reflects the woman's loss of earnings and long term care she now requires due to the injuries she sustained. A decision will be made by the courts at a later stage.
