Woman freed from M27 crash

Car accident compensation may be sought following a serious collision on the M27.

A woman driving a Vauxhall Astra had to be cut free by fire fighters after her car overturned between junctions 11 and 12.

The 60-year-old woman was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham where her condition was described as stable.

Speaking of the car crash scene, a fire fighter said, "The car was upside down. We had to cut the steering wheel off completely."

The car accident left the eastbound carriageway of the M27 closed for two hours while emergency services worked to clear the scene.

It was not reported whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash or if car accident compensation is likely to be sought.
