UK man in foreign accident claim trouble
The family of an elderly Macedonian couple who were killed in a collision with a Porsche driven by British millionaire who was competing in the famous Gumball Rally are asking for more than £100,000 in an accident claim for car crash compensation.
The elderly couple were driving their VW Golf when the UK man collided with them at high speed on May 4th. Both of the couple suffered fatal injuries.
The 30-year-old British property developer could face up to four years in a Macedonian prison if he is found guilty of 'endangering traffic leading to death'.
The man's Manchester based solicitors refute suggestions that he left the scene of the road accident. They say that instead he waited until emergency services crew arrived.
As well as the accident claim against the British man, the deceased couple's family are also understood to be considering making an accident claim for personal injury compensation against the Macedonian government for allowing the race to take place.
